The Winston-Salem Area Medical Group Managers Association (WSMGMA) exists as a local chapter of the North Carolina Medical Group Managers (NCMGM) organization. The local chapter is organized as a 501 (c) (6) under the Internal Revenue Code. It exists for the general purpose of continuing education in the field of healthcare administration. The group provides forums to address issues on a local and national level. Monthly meetings are offered to give members the opportunity to learn from sponsors and program speakers and to network and exchange ideas that help with issues they face on a day-to-day basis. We typically have around 35 members in attendance. The majority of our members are medical practice administrators representing multiple specialties and primary care.
